Ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, and physical needs as well as their educational needs. Expectations of the YMCA teaching staff:

• Enjoys working with children.
• Experience working in a classroom.
• Good working relationship with a co-teacher.
• Be a positive role model.
• Collaborate with other educators.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise children at all times.
• Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development.
• Assist children with activities of daily life (restroom use, diapering, hand washing)
• Establish policies and procedures for inside and outside the classroom.
• Become familiar with emergency procedures and protocol.
• Clean and sterilize equipment and toys daily.
• Provide excellent communication, respect privacy with parents.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
