APPLY IN PERSON FOR THIS POSITION AT 606 OLD US 70, SWANNANOA. PAY LISTED IS STARTING PAY, INCREASES POSSIBLE AFTER LEARNING THE JOB DUTIES, REVIEW AT 60 DAYS. Average hours per week is 50 hours. Overtime after 40 hours. No experience required, training provided.

Job duties to be explained but will be casting retaining wall blocks with concrete. Metal forms are stripped down, concrete blocks removed, forms cleaned and closed up, poured with concrete, repeat. Concrete Blocks are placed in storage area of yard after removal from metal block forms. As customers come in the blocks are loaded our for delivery onto flatbed trucks using a forklift.

Forklift experience a plus but not required. Steady hours year around, good attendance mandatory. Job is working along side another employee and is a two man job so when 1 guy lays out it makes it impossible to perform job requirements.

Qualifications:

US Citizenship or legal resident status required.

• Individual must be physically fit, as this is a labor intensive position.
• Position is a concrete laborer casting precast retaining wall blocks.
• Position is at the Swannanoa plant site and apply in person for position.

Physical Requirements:

• The individual will be required to remember and understand certain instructions, guidelines or other information..
• Individual must be able to move frequently, stand, walk and sit. Individual must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs. and occasionally lift 75 lbs.

Benefits: Carolina Ready Mix Inc has a full benefit package available after completion of a 60-day probation period. Benefits include 401K, paid vacation, paid holidays, overtime for anything over 40 hours, weekly pay, medical insurance after 30 days. Optional insurance available for short-term disability, life insurance.

• Hours: This is a full time position with hours depending upon requirements of the work load. Average hours is 50 per week, 5 am to 4 pm, Monday thru Friday.
• Pay is subject to increase after probation period depending upon reliability, trustworthiness and job work performance.
• Advancement into other positions is also possible for the right candidate.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 to start with regular increases, increase at 60 day's and annual cost of living increases as well as promotions available. Paid weekly direct deposit.
