Summary: Perform a wide variety of electrical troubleshooting, and maintenance work on industrial control panels, VFDs, switching power supplies, plant electrical systems, equipment, and apparatus. Help to maintain various machines and operation of electronic devices. Install controls, central and subsidiary control panels, electronic devices and other gear incidental to the installation. Diagnose and remedy electrical troubles, repair and replace apparatus. Work from wiring diagrams, schematic drawings and code book; use all required electrical measuring and testing devices. Individuals will perform mechanical duties as assigned. Work from a general assignment and complete project with little or no direction from others. Must be skilled in ladder logic and/or structured text. We need someone to help with the machines, and the wiring inside of them for a food manufacturing company.

Principle responsibilities and duties include:

  • Assist machine installations, including running conduit, sizing wire, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all electrical equipment.
  • Work with AC and DC power, single and polyphase systems as high as 3 phase 480.
  • Install and maintain machinery and controls.
  • Create and maintain electrical documents CAD experience and Ladder programming is a plus.
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties as needed
  • Maintain job related inventory
  • Perform mechanical and other duties as assigned
  • Maintain up-to-date technical training
  • Train other personnel as required
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in PLC Programming
  • Siemens or Allen Bradley experience is a plus
  • Ability to use DVM, Megger
  • Must have current driver’s license and keep active
  • Ability to use and own tools for the trade

· Aware of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E and NFPA 79 codes and standards

  • Excellent communications skills, delegation skills, and work attitude.
  • Team player. Relates well with employees and superiors.
  • Must be detail oriented. Be able to work overtime or weekends if needed.
  • Should be open-minded and decisive with problem solving skills.
  • Ability to follow work instructions.
  • Proficient in material handling equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Bending, standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods of time.
  • Must work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks, projects and deadlines.

· Must have a hands-on working style.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
