Responsibilities
The Plant Operator is delegated authority and responsibility to oversee repair and maintain stationary and mobile mechanical and electrical equipment such as steam boilers pumps generator sets compressors air handlers vacuum pumps and refrigeration equipment to provide for utilities such as light heat water and power for refrigeration air conditioning heating and other services required for the hospital. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of San Bernardino. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Community Hospital of San Bernardino strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement process and activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic knowledge and understanding in the safe operation and repair of steam boilers boiler auxiliaries generator sets refrigeration plants and other varied types of machinery equipment and systems which make up the physical plant of a hospital is required.
- Boiler License or Certificate of Completion from an approved boiler training institute and an E.P.A. Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification Type II and III is preferred.
Pay Range
$35.77 - $44.96/hour
