The Maintenance/Refrigeration Supervisor oversees the work done by Warehouse, Driver, Maintenance personnel. This position also looks for improvements inside all departments and improvements of the equipment or facility to improve production performances.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Oversees the Preventive Maintenance Program.
Oversees maintenance work orders.
Performs Process Safety Management
Oversees any and all Ice Manufacturing equipment.

Oversees and creates schedules for all personnel.

Must be capable of performing equipment maintenance and repairs as necessary.
Oversees the facility and the equipment inside and outside.
Oversees projects.
Oversees contractors.
Oversees production downtime.
Oversees the performance of Maintenance and Refrigeration members.
Looks for improvements to be made in plant utilities.
Oversees safety programs.
Performs and oversees training programs.
Works with and assists in monitoring the purchase of parts and equipment to maintain the facility.

Manager Responsibilities

Manages all employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Must have at least 2+ years of refrigeration, Industrial maintenance and operational experiences as well. One year certificate from college or technical school; or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must have a valid driver's license and be able to qualify for the company's driving program.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Other Skills and Abilities

A person has to be able to perform the above items and be flexible to changes and adjust to interruptions brought on by unseen problems with equipment, production, sanitation, and personnel. Must be able to read and understand schematics, drawings, mechanical manuals, and code books.
