Title: Plant Operations Manager

Our AS9100D-registered, Florida-based, build-to-print precision machine shop is NADCAP accredited and ISO 9001:2015 registered. It specializes in close-tolerance contract machining carbon and stainless steel, super-alloys, plastics, and phenolic resin compounds. We provide turnkey production solutions that start with design assistance and continue with prototyping, CNC milling & turning, finishing, chroming, phosphating, anodizing, laser etching, assembly, inspection, and packaging. The Operations Manager handles planning, directing, coordinating, and managing all aspects of manufacturing, including estimating, scheduling machining, and engineering. Ensures that manufactured goods are produced on time, on budget, per specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Communicates all manufacturing-related issues following standard operating procedures, standardized processes, lean manufacturing, and workmanship standards to achieve KPI monthly goals. This individual will have a strong Aerospace & Defense manufacturing background, and drive accountability, performance management, and Operations aligned with the Company's P&L goals while facilitating a customer-focused culture. The position reports to the President
Responsibilities
Plans and implements operating policies, procedures, and budgets.
Manages policy deployment in Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls, and plant performance measures.
Consults with Human Resources
Analyze product line operations (daily, weekly, monthly) and initiate timely corrective actions to ensure efficient production flow and achievement of product line goals.
Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
Develop, maintain, and update capacity, capital, and resource (workforce, equipment, tools) planning inputs that ensure product line execution capability.
Ensures compliance with company needs for capital investments and improvement projects.
Manages compliance with state and federal regulations.
P&L knowledge and working understanding of cause/effect relationships.
Managing direct reports to ensure product line(s) schedules are achieved. This includes ensuring that the product line(s) are properly staffed.
Champion safety and 5S+1initiatives to drive an improved culture for product line(s)
Responsible for the operations and production results of the facility including goal achievement, problem-solving, coordination, the establishment of shift priorities, and achievement of production results.
Qualifications
10+ years of Operations manufacturing management experience in a NADCAP and ISO 9001: 2015 environments.
10 + years of Precision Machining (turning, milling, finishing, chroming, phosphating, anodizing, laser etching, assembly, inspection, and packaging.
A demonstrated leadership ability to motivate people and get results through others.
Strong knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques
Experience in forecasting and planning with a proven ability to think ahead and strategize over a 3 to 6-month time span.
Strong problem-resolution skills, including effective use of root cause analysis tools.
Experience in leading a cross-functional team or previous supervisory experience
Possess technical skills in materials and inventory management, production scheduling, and preventive maintenance.
Experience in Material Planning and knowledge of ERP systems (Epicor)
Strong business acumen – understands the big picture and possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Experience developing & writing capexs.
Ability to develop and lead high-performance teams and be a strong team player.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
