Job description

Due to expansion and development of the service, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our busy Acute Care Therapy Team (ACTT). You will be working under the guidance and supervision of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to assist patients to maximise their function and mobility. The successful candidate will assist with the assessment and treatment of predominantly elderly and frail patients across various clinical settings including the Emergency Department and Frailty Unit.

You will need to have an interest in the care and rehabilitation of older people with a variety of needs and have a positive approach to team working.

Full training will be provided and your development will be supported by Senior Therapists. Your role will also include housekeeping duties, providing and ordering equipment, electronic record keeping and administrative duties.

Hours will be worked to support 7 day service delivery between the hours of 08:00 – 20:00, including weekends and bank holidays; therefore flexibility around working patterns will be required.
