POSITION PURPOSE:
Under the general supervision of the manager of rehabilitation, provides and documents the full range of physical therapy treatments and tests to all patient populations served. Supervises supportive personnel and participates in education services.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One year of outpatient PT experience preferred. Minimum experience of student affiliation in outpatient, resulting in fulfillment of entry level competency standards as defined by APTA or experience as a PTA in acute care.

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Communicates effectively with patients, families, visitors, co-workers, physicians and other employees.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position and its location.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. PTA
3. PT/PTA students

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Graduation from an accredited college leading to a Doctorate, Master’s, or Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Physical Therapy.
2. Able to read, write, and speak English.

PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
1. Licensure in the State of Massachusetts.
2. BLS certification.
