    Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)
    • Implement Davenport Community School District Physical Education Curriculum.
    • Attend all physical education professional development
    • Knowledge of Common Core State Standards
    • Participate fully as a productive team member.
    • Implement building and district elementary level initiatives.
    • Demonstrate effective communication with students, parents, staff, and community members.
    • Willingness to participate in staff development and utilize collaborative teacher team approach
    • Able to implement a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of a diverse learning community.
    • Ability to establish a positive learning environment.
    • Other duties as assigned by administrator.
    • Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.
    • Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.
    • Implementation of PBIS classroom and Universal procedures and expectations.

    Physical Requirements of Position: (HBV Yes No)
    • Able to stand for long periods of time.
    • Able to assist with outside supervision year round.
    • Able to lift/push/pull 50 lbs
    Special Qualification Desired: (Personal Qualities, Education, Skills Needed, Experience, Etc.)
    • Knowledgeable about elementary level practices.
    • Experience with elementary students necessary.
    Recognition of the need for confidentiality with respect to children and parents' right to privacy.
    Demonstrated knowledge of differentiation of instruction necessary to meet needs of diverse student community; evidence such knowledge has been implemented successfully in prior experience.
