APE (AdaptivePhysical Education) Teacher
Location: Highland Park, IL
Employment Type: Full-time, 2023/2024 school year
Blazerworks, a partner of the school district, is currently seeking a full-time APE (AdaptivePhysical Education) Teacher for the upcoming 2023/2024 school year in Highland Park, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement appropriate adapted physical education programs for students with disabilities
- Evaluate and assess students' abilities and progress in order to modify instruction as needed
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to create a comprehensive education plan for each student
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with parents and other team members
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
- Illinois State Licensure as a Physical Education teacher with APE endorsement
- Knowledge and experience with best practices in APE
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
