BACKGRID is a global premier celebrity news agency which supplies all of the top news outlets with real-time content from the world's top photographers.
We are seeking additional photojournalists to join our UK operation, headquartered in London.
The UK bureau is a 24-hours a day, 7 days a week operation. This photographer will provide coverage in the areas of celebrity and local breaking news.
Qualifications:
Travel is required, usually on very short notice. The Photographer must be willing and able to work all shifts as needed. All candidates must have the right photographic skills to cover a wide variety of events competitively and the ability to tell a story photographically. The successful candidate should have a strong interest and knowledge in celebrity and news.
- The Photographer must be able to edit digital images and transmit using appropriate technology from the field in a deadline driven environment.
- Proficiency in writing captions that are accurate and informative is essential. Multimedia and video skills are a plus.
- This person must be self-motivated & organised, as well as flexible
- The majority of your work is undertaken 'on location', so travel and irregular working hours are common features of the job, therefore you would need to own a vehicle.
- We will also provide any training necessary to enable you to progress as a celebrity and news photojournalist.
Job Type: Zero hours contract
Contract length: 100 months
