Mega Pharmacy is looking for a pharmacy assistant or technician who is available to work at an independent pharmacy.

We are a growing retail and long-term-care pharmacy. We specialize in compliance packaging needs for adult family homes and other long term care facilities around the Tacoma area.

- Assistants: after a period of time, room for training to technician

Job description: Tasks include, but are not limited to:

Inventory Management: Labeling, and putting away stock bottles and daily orders. Check outdated meds. Medication returns. Some lifting may be involved (up to 50 lb) as well as operating heat sealer using some strength to push closed.

Operate pharmacy cash register and other counter tasks

Prescription filling: Filling medical products (bottles, bubble packages, etc)- majority of work will often be completing daily bottle fill and weekly bubble packages. Filling prescriptions for pickup

Prepare meds for delivery

Maintaining clean work area and cleaning as needed (mop, sweep, etc)

Delivery / travel to various locations may be required

Experience / Requirements:

- Minimum high school diploma or GED

- Minimum 18 years of age

- Motivated & willing to learn

- Excellent customer service

- Work well independently

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to organize / prioritize tasks, and work on assigned tasks as well as other tasks when finished

- Decent basic math skills

- Able to work well with others as a team and with the public

- Ability to preserve confidentiality of information

- Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency

- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
