Job description
General Summary: Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medication, medication order verification, and the monitoring of patient medication therapy. Acts as a resource for the provision of medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents medication related problems through intervention with physicians. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication availability. Follows established policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements in executing job responsibilities.
Location: Elmhurst campus
Hours: Part time, days/evenings. Weekend rotation required.
Required:
- Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License
- Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association within six weeks of start date into position
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification or within 90 days of start date into position
Preferred:
- Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy
- Minimum two (2) years inpatient hospital pharmacy experience or PGY-1 residency

Schedule: Part time, Days/Evenings, 8 hr shifts. start times: 6am, 7am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm
