Pet Station is a locally owned and operated small chain of full-service pet supply stores. We were founded in Truckee, CA in January 2006 and have grown to serve the communities of South Lake Tahoe, Tahoe City, Incline Village, Gardnerville, Susanville and several locations across Reno & Sparks. Our company philosophy centers around customer service and optimal pet care. If you love animals and are customer service oriented, this is the job for you!

We are currently hiring for one of our Reno locations, however the exact location the application will be placed at has yet to be determined. Interviews will be conducted at our warehouse in Sparks.

We focus on educating our teams so they can better assist our customers. We offer all staff an 8 week, in house training program, with continuing education thereafter.

Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing Staff & Day to Day store operations.
  • Customer Service (sales floor & point of sale/register transactions, etc)
  • Maintaining Proper Inventory Control (scanning in deliveries, receiving deliveries, point of sale/register transactions, opening & closing register(s), physical inventory, etc)
  • Product Knowledge (8-week training course, brand ambassador training seminars, individual product research, upholding in-store training standards with yourself and staff, etc).
  • Store Presentation (general merchandising, cleanliness of store [sales floor, break room, restroom(s), office], fronting, facing and organizing products per company standards.
  • In-Store Animal Care (feeding, watering, cleaning cages of feeder insects [crickets, worms], small animals [mice, rats, guinea pigs, etc] & reptiles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
