We are currently looking to add to our dynamic team and are looking to fill the role of PET Nuclear Pharmacist Manager.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Regional Director of PET Pharmacy Operations, the PET Nuclear Pharmacy Manager will play an essential role in compounding and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals and other services to medical care providers and facilities under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Supervise and manage the performance of nuclear pharmacist and other nuclear pharmacy personnel. Ensure the job duties and responsibilities of pharmacy staff is appropriately planned, assigned, directed and executed.

2. Assures compliance with PET cGMP requirements.

3. Develop strong relationships with hospitals, clinics and other healthcare providers in the market to ensure the pharmacy is providing products and client-focused services needed to retain existing and attract new clients.

4. Provide financial and operational direction for the nuclear pharmacy. Improve efficiency and effectiveness of the pharmacy. Monitor and control operational expenses with in the pharmacy according to plan.

5. Become the Radiation Safety Officer, if required.

6. Obtain and maintain required licensure assuring compliance with all regulatory commitments, to include Radiation Safety, compliance with evolving USP Guidelines, Pharmacy laws and regulations, FDA Directives and Guidelines, and DOT regulations and corporate policies and procedures.

7. Implement and manage the Company Quality Assurance Program at the pharmacy.

8. Monitor the adherence to policies and procedures for the preparation, production and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals products and services. Establish corrective actions as necessary to correct deviations below acceptable standards.

9. Maintain and develop (in conjunction with the Director of Operations) training programs for the compounding of radiopharmaceuticals. Monitor the training outcomes and subsequent actions. Audit and re-certify training personnel on an annual basis.

10. Recruit, interview administrative and professional staff and render hiring recommendations for the facility. Including: Staff Pharmacists, Technologists and Customer Service Assistants.

11. Other related duties as assigned by Director of Operations or Chief Operations Officer.

Minimum Job Requirements:

· Must be a Registered Pharmacist with 3+ years of nuclear pharmacist experience.

· NRC or Authorized User Status designation in the State of Vermont strongly desired.

· Minimum of 3 years managerial, leadership and PET experience strongly preferred.

· Must have ability to work variety of schedules including evenings, holidays and weekends.

· Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Required)

Experience:

  • Nuclear Pharmacy: 2 years (Required)
  • dispensing radiopharmaceuticals: 1 year (Preferred)
  • PET cGMP Compliance: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Radiation Safety Officer: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Pharmacist License (Preferred)
