Payne Pest Management is family owned and operated by Kathleen Payne. We opened our doors on May 15, 2006, with 3 employees and one office. Since then, we have grown into TOP 100 pest companies in the United States.

PAYNE PEST MANAGEMENT is growing and looking to add PEST CONTROL TECHNICIANS to our first-class service team. We are looking for self-motivated professionals capable of working with a team or out on their own. You must be customer focused, with strong communication skills and a great work ethic.

Pay

• $21.00-$25.00/hour
• $250-$1000 New Hire Signing Bonus for employees with current Applicators or Branch 2 licenses.

Work Schedule

• MUST be available to work day, and evening shifts. Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm
• Some weekends are required
• The ability to report for duty on time for scheduled shifts is mandatory

Responsibilities

A Pest Control Technician (PCT) is responsible for maintaining a working partnership with commercial properties, homeowners, and property managers. A pest control technician (PCT) is responsible for growing and improving his/her own route, which may include clover leafing and other duties assigned by management. Also, this role is responsible for the evaluation and positive identification of the targeted pest, then applying the 6 basic steps of effective pest control. These services included but are not limited to;

• Applying Integrated Pest Management (IPM) treatment techniques to the interior and exterior of commercial buildings and private homes.
• Setting and baiting rodent bait stations.
• Setting and removal of rodent snap traps
• Pigeon controlling and cleaning up using proper PPE’s
• Gopher and ground squirrel control at and around buildings, parking lots, and parks
• Bee service which includes; hive extraction, honey removal, and wall intrusion in an attempt to protect the public from bee attacks
• Responding on a timely basis to customers’ requests for phone and in-person service calls
• Completing required production forms at end of the daily route
• Ensuring that all services and treatments are performed safely and according to the label
• Keeping a clean and safe functional vehicle
• Driving the company vehicle to customers’ residences or places of business
• Keeping all equipment clean and in proper operating condition
• Completing any and all production forms immediately following the treatment

• Minimum of 1+ years of Pest Control experience preferred
• Applicators License and/or Field Representative II (2) license issued by the State of California.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
• The ability to read, write, learn, and communicate in English effectively
• Must be able to write simple correspondence
• Must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and co-workers
• Able to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, smell, and Lift and Carry 25 lbs.(The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. • Ability to regularly work outdoors in changing weather conditions and frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles work environment (The use of PPEs is MANDATORY and will reduce the risk of exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and heat-related, illnesses.
• Ability to work occasionally in high, and/or small and confined places and is occasionally exposed to cold, hot, wet, and /or humid conditions with toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Ability to work in the work environment is usually moderate noise level
• Able to Pass a back ground check
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
