Job description

A continuing care/long term retirement community located in the Birmingham/Irondale area seeks a Personal Care Department - Weekend Supervisor for every other weekend to support the Personal Care Companion Department through daily (Saturdays and Sundays) management of caregiver's schedules and general office management.

Shift is 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. every other Saturday and Sunday

Major Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Schedule caregivers for residents as directed by services requested from the resident;
• Coordinate daily caregiver and floater schedules;
• Print and distribute daily caregiver and floater schedules;
• Report issues or concerns regarding care from residents to the Personal Care Department Director;
• Serve as backup to caregivers and floaters unable to fulfill their schedule;
• All other duties as assigned.

Successful Candidates will:

• Be at least 18 years old;
• Speak, read and understand English;
• Be able to perform the essential functions outlined in the job description;
• Have a positive attitude with the residents and other employees.
