I am looking for a highly competent part-time Personal Assistant with confidence to manage my professional and personal life. Most of the job will involve management of two small boutique hotels in Bronzeville area. The position will focus on supporting the day-to-day activities of Rooms Operations of areas that include Housekeeping, Laundry, Staff and Guest Services. Carry out guest arrival and departure procedures and to maintain the property’s cleanliness standards. Strives to ensure guest and employee satisfaction and achieve the operating budget.

The role would suit a self-motivated, caring individual who loves to take ownership of their tasks.

Position Summary

Clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the property’s established standards of cleanliness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.

· Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.

· Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.

· Maintain positive guest relations at all times.

· Be familiar with all services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

· Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.

· Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas

· Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.

· Transport cart with cleaning supplies, guest room amenities and linens to assigned guest room and position securely.

· Provide cleaning service to designated rooms on assignment sheet:

· Empty trash containers and ashtrays.

· Remove all dirty terry and replace with clean par to designated layout.

· Replace soiled bed sheets and make bed with clean linen.

· Clean Kitchen.

· Set lighting and thermostat to designated levels.

· Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor.

· Replace facial, toilet tissue and bathroom amenities in correct amount and location.

· Clean guest rooms as assigned.

· Update status of rooms cleaned and turned down on assignment sheet/ in the system

· Return and restock cart at end of shift.

· Empty vacuum bag and wipe vacuum clean.

· Ensure security of any assigned guest room keys.

· Report any damages or maintenance problems to the Supervisor.

· Turn over any lost and found items from guest rooms to the Manager

· Make up cribs and rollaway beds.

· Re-hang/refold clothes.

· Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

· At least one year of housekeeping experience in hotel or equivalent environment

· Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

· Prioritize and organize.

· Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.

· Follow directions thoroughly.

· Understand guest’s service needs.

· Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

· Work with minimal supervision.

· Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

· Have a strong attention to detail

· Can work any day of the week

· Ability to work at any of our different buildings

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
