Short Description
The Perioperative Services Educator/Program Development Coordinator is responsible for assessing, developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for perioperative personnel to maintain competency, continuing education, and leadership development.
The Perioperative Services Educator/Program Development Coordinator functions as an instructor, coordinator and clinical resource to the staff and various OR locations within Cooper Heath System.
Coordinates and instructs the Periop 101 program at Cooper University Health Care.
Assess the environment to determine educational needs of patients and perioperative personnel.
Act as a clinical resource for perioperative personnel using evidence-based standards and professional guidelines.
Experience Required
3 Years of clinical nursing experience.
1 year teaching experience preferred.
Education Requirements
BSN Required.
MSN preferred.
License/Certification Requirements
Valid NJ license required.
BLS required, ACLS and specialty certification preferred.
Special Requirements
Scheduled Days / Hours: Monday - Friday 40hrs/wk
