Under immediate to general supervision, completes chart reviews for compliance with ODMHSAS and OHCA standards, completes quarterly client satisfaction surveys, and contributes to quarterly performance improvement reports. This position is supervised by the respective Chief Clinical Compliance Officer (CCCO).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have a bachelor’s degree in a mental health related field from an accredited university and two years of performance improvement and/or clinical documentation experience or a master’s degree in a mental health field with one year of performance improvement and/or clinical documentation experience. May also have experience in providing direct services in a mental health related field.

Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.

Must develop working relationships with clinical staff and supervisors.

Must possess the ability to train staff and assess for comprehension of information

Must be very detail oriented

An expectation of core competencies in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders, trauma informed care and collaborative care.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Skill in developing treatment plans; of clinical data; in carrying out courses of treatment; in counseling and guiding individuals; and in communicating clearly, both orally and in writing.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of social work and/or psychology; and of current social and economic problems.

Thorough skill in exercising good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions; in organizing and presenting facts and opinions clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other Agency personnel and governmental representatives; and in organizing and conducting projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of case management procedures and integrated care.

Knowledge of inpatient, crisis stabilization and outpatient services for adults and children.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible and held accountable for the following duties:

Follows guidelines and ensures compliance of clinical records for Title XIX; Medicaid, Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS), and other funding sources or regulatory agencies.

Reviews clinical records for funding source and accreditation standards and instructs staff on chart correction and compliance on a regular basis.

Travels to Lighthouse sites (or provides via Zoom) to ensure agency wide compliance and to provide staff training.

Monitors service verification during chart reviews.

Assists in updating and maintaining accurate workflows for outpatient services. Provides staff training on workflows.

Assists in recording data and preparing compliance reports under the direction of the CCCO.

Assists in preparing for certification audits.

Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with direct supervisor, site supervisors, and clinical staff.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job requirement.

Reviews and understands service code definitions and has the ability to relate the service code definition to the chart documentation.

Employee must be willing and able to perform all job related travel normally associated with this position.

Must meet “satisfactory” expectations at any scheduled job performance evaluation, coaching and/or Performance Improvement Plans.

Must complete Lighthouse required training and resulting follow up and consultation as required at hire, annually and as directed by Supervisor.

Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management as requested.

In addition, must possess skill in working cooperatively and effectively with clients, staff, management and other professional and community groups; in exercising mature judgment in dealing with people; in presenting ideas clearly and accurately; in reading and comprehending the English language; and in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.

Must perform the specific job duties as listed above to meet position expectations.

Pay: $60,008.00 per year
