Our ideal Personal Care Assistant is a compassionate person who will work in a home care setting to provide personal cares and homemaking.

Lake Country Home Care is looking for employees that live within a 45-mile radius of New York Mills. We service clients in Wadena, Sebeka, Menahga, Staples, Perham, New York Mills, Frazee, Vergas, Ottertail, Bertha, Eagle Bend, Parker Prairie, Long Prairie and Fergus Falls. We provide 24-hour care so schedules can be flexible.

Personal Care Assistant-PCA/ CNA Responsibilities:

• meal prep
• laundry
• medication reminders
• light housekeeping
• personal cares

Personal Care Assistant-PCA/ CNA Qualifications

• CNA is preferred but not mandatory.
• Caregiver experience is helpful

COVID-19 considerations:
All employees are required to wear a surgical mask, eye protectors and gloves when working with clients. All employees must self screen every morning, and screen the clients by phone prior to their visit.

Duties:

• Reading, writing, and carrying out directions
• Charting or taking notes for others to review
• Providing companionship and supportive listening
• Reporting changes in the health or status of the client
• Responding to emergency situations
• Transporting client to appointments
• Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport
• Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
