Job Title: PC Technician
Job Summary:

The PC Technician’s role is to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas and provide end user training and assistance where required.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals
  • Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance
  • Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Provide end-user training and assistance as required
  • Document and maintain system configurations and procedures
  • Collaborate with IT team members to develop and implement IT policies and procedures
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills when working with clients
  • Stay current with new technologies and techniques related to computer hardware and software
  • Follow company policies and procedures while completing tasks
  • Adhere to strict timelines for completing tasks and projects
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet objectives and deadlines
  • Continuously improve skills through training and education opportunities.
  • Train end-users on the use of help desk software to ensure efficient and effective problem reporting and resolution
  • Provide technical support for third-party software, ensuring that systems are properly integrated and functioning correctly.

Education/Experience:

  • High school graduate.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or related field
  • Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC hardware
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience.
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Current A+ or Network+ Certification preferred but not required.
