Position Summary:

This role will provide support to payroll team members as well as assist the Payroll Manager with the daily activities in a multi-state in house payroll department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Prints, sorts, and distributes payroll checks for on-cycle and off-cycle check runs
  • Employment Verifications
  • Assist the Payroll Team by providing administrative and clerical support; answer telephones, take and distribute messages
  • Process mail and ensure that the office supplies, fed ex and check stock is maintained
  • Provide answers to general payroll questions and address issues that may arise in a timely manner
  • Assist in special projects as assigned by management

Other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong work e4thic, demonstrated by the consistent completion of assignments accurately and timely
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and develop
  • Constant focus on anticipating and exceeding customer needs
  • Proficiency with technology, including Excel, Word and Outlook; ability to quickly learn and understand various technologies
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Superior attention to detail and commitment to accuracy for data entry with timely follow through
  • Keen understanding of confidentiality; ability to manage sensitive information with tact and discretion

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate’s Degree with emphasis on business or bookkeeping preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with computerized payroll processing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per year
