Job description
We are currently looking for a Payroll Administrator in Jacksonville, FL
Duties include
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Process Payroll and manual checks within company HRIS system.
- Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
- Manage work flow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Perform daily payroll department operations.
- Understand proper taxation within payroll processing.
- Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.
- Execute time sheets and attendance processing and interface with payroll.
- Research and email appropriate audience of file issues.
- Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary.
- Develop ad hoc reporting as needed.
- Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
- To update payroll records as appropriate.
- Ability to work independently to meet strict deadlines.
- Process vacation payout requests.
- Responds to payroll-related requests for information from employees, and from outside entities.
- Must know entire job all the way through posting to accounting ledgers
- Must be proficient in Excel
- Must have experience in processing payroll that includes commissions
- Paylocity experience is a PLUS
