Position Summary


We are looking for a customer-service oriented professional who is looking for a part-time, work-from-home contractor opportunity with flexible hours to join our growing team. This position is perfect for someone who has a customer service background and experience assisting healthcare patients. This role includes engagement with patients of multiple practices and routine data management. This is an independent contractor position perfect for someone who can work 20-30 hours a week (Monday through Friday), generally between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm EST.


RxLive is an innovative pharmacy telehealth service that partners with a patient's medical provider. We provide the forum and platform where patients with complex medication needs can communicate with expert pharmacists over a secure video-chat platform. Patient Services Representatives play an integral role in helping our pharmacists deliver expert clinical care, counseling, and coaching that improves clinical and economic outcomes. We are looking for goal-oriented individuals to become part of our team and join our network.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Timely manage inbound and outbound calls to provide patients with compelling reasons why an RxLive pharmacist consult would benefit them.
  • Download or otherwise acquire patient lists, share them with Data Scientist, and assist as necessary for upload into My.RxLive.
  • As requested, access patient’s EMR to prepare pharmacists for patient consults, update consult notes, and/or enter billing codes.
  • Schedule patient consults for pharmacists based on where the pharmacist is licensed.
  • Develop Job Aids and Standard Operating Procedures for Patient Service Specialist Team reference.
  • Comply with all HIPAA and related privacy and operational requirements.
  • Complete medical management data entry, chart prep and referral functions.
  • Represent RxLive in a professional manner following all Company policies and procedures.
  • Set up new patient profiles within the RxLive EHR and send confirmation messages to booked patients using Acuity.
  • Manage pharmacists’ consult reports, upload, route to the appropriate physician promptly, and submit billing codes when required.
  • Monitor faxes and/or inbound notifications from clients using the EHR.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related healthcare discipline is preferred.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of customer service or patient engagement experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.

  • HIPAA-secure quiet workplace
  • Secure high-speed internet access
  • Laptop/PC with video capabilities
  • Willing to complete and pass a drug test and background screening before beginning employment

Compensation:

  • Compensated at a rate of $20 per hour.
