Position Summary:
We are currently hiring
Bilingual Spanish/English
Patient Services Representatives (PSR) for full time opportunities in at Urban Health Plan! The PSR is an important customer service representative that maintains the waiting area and ensures that our patients have a positive visitation experience. The PSR checks in patients and verifies their information as they wait to see their provider. Our PSR is a friendly and familiar face to our patients and provides exceptional customer service. This is an entry-level administrative support role.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Understanding of phone etiquette and standard office procedures.
Key Duties:
- Greets patients and identifies their needs.
- Verifies insurance information through insurance company via phone and/or through managed care plan websites.
- Answers incoming calls and takes messages for providers.
- Registers and enrolls patients, checks demographic information, updates information as needed.
- Schedules appointments and takes calls for patients who seek to speak with a provider.
- Helps to maintain charts and provides administrative support to the department.
- Provides outstanding customer service.
Compensation: Minimum $16.50 per hour; Maximum $16.50 per hour
