Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will manage and coordinate an organization-wide risk and patient safety program for Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center. The primary purposeof this position is manage risk, advance the patient safety program and promotes a culture of safety with the goal of eliminating avoidable harm
  
• You will assess compliance with national patient safety goals and other patient safety initiatives and implement policies/ programs/ education to maximize patient safety, emphasizing proactive harm prevention for patients, visitors, and staff through development and implementation of programs, policies, and activities
• You will support the hospital’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the performance improvement and patient safety plans and be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to: Customer Service, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care, Risk Management and HCA patient safety initiatives

What qualifications you will need:

• 
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field required. Master’s Degree preferred
• Certification in Patient Safety (CPPS) required; If not already CPPS, must obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
• Clinical background preferred
• Minimum of three years healthcare experience in patient safety, risk, and/or quality preferred. Healthcare experience should be recent and within a clinical setting such as Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center, etc.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
