Title: Patient Escort I
Salary Range: $27 to $55
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for attending 10 out of 12 in-service meetings per year.
- Responsible for delivery of medications, patient supplies or equipment, newsletters, pamphlets, and other educational materials, as assigned.
- Safely and properly operates vehicle’s wheelchair lift with consideration for patients’ disabilities and abilities.
- Responsible for reporting to work promptly at scheduled time. Uses sick leave appropriately, per organizational policies.
- Responsible for notifying supervisor between 4:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. of late transportation on a daily basis.
- This position shall require working on the weekends, early and late hours beyond routine operation hours.
- Other duties as assigned. Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner and identifies and can be asked to correct unsafe work conditions with management oversight.
- Complies with all client & Sodexo HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
- Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
- Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
- Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Attend training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
To qualify, you must have:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience highly preferred.
- The ability to work on a team
- Strong communication skills
