Hours: Part-Time / Evenings / 3pm-11pm/ 24 hours a week / eow

Position Description:

The Nurse Assistant knows and understands the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Urgent Care.
Under supervision of clinical staff, the Nurse Assistant provides basic nursing care to assigned patients in the Urgent Care Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to ordering and stocking patient’s rooms, checking vital signs, assisting with phone calls, assisting with the greeter/screener role, and helping with administrative tasks. Also, the Nurse Assistant will assist in the collection and processing of Point of care testing, such as COVID testing, UAs, bloodwork, EKG’s.

Education:
High school graduate or equivalent; ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.
Successful completion of a certified patient care/clinical associate/certified nursing assistant or equivalent course.
Successful completion of courses in EKG and Phlebotomy.

Experience:
2-4 years’ experience in health-care and nursing services experience strongly preferred. Will train on the job if needed.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to work with detailed, confidential material, computer experience required.
