We Care Mobile Care has immediate contract positions open for Passenger Van Drivers. Delaware drivers must have a license with a Taxi/Limo Z Endorsement, clean background check and driving record. Drivers will transport passengers in New Castle and Kent Counties with a company vehicle. Candidates who live in the New Castle County area and have their own transportation (to get to and from work) preferred. Must be willing to work early mornings. Become a valued member of our team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Provides friendly transportation ensuring the safety of all passengers
• Maintain a working knowledge of local geography, possess the ability to read maps and street signs, and understand how to work a GPS
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are consistently maintained
• Inspect vehicle to ensure vehicle can be operated safely before driving including checking fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes, and steering
• Ensure the cleanliness of your workspace including vehicles, offices, and facilities in which you operate
• Arrive to work on time in appropriate attire; maintaining a professional appearance as a We Care Mobile Care representative
• Drive vehicle to and from assigned routes while delivering outstanding customer service to everyone you come in contact with
• Follow assigned route and adhere to established schedules
• Maintain compliance with all applicable protocols for transportation as per company policy
• Complete all required documentation/reports in a timely and thorough manner
• Safely operate and maintain assigned vehicles and equipment in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Report all accidents, vehicle damage, client injuries, and mechanical failures. Complete required reports
• Keep assigned Vehicle clean and fueled
• Communicate effectively and professionally with passengers, families, facilities, and dispatch
• Observe all traffic laws and safety regulations for vehicles
• Correct unsafe conditions in work area that could cause an accident and inform supervisor of any conditions that are not correctable immediately
• Communicate with dispatch via smartphone and/or tablet
• Work irregular hours as needed.
• Supervise clients while they board and leave the vehicle and cross the street
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Delaware license holders must have a current state Driver’s License with a Taxi/Limo Z-Endorsement (Preferred) or be willing to get a Z-Endorsement upon hire
• Must be at least 25 years of age
• Pass Drug Screen (at hire & annually)
• Must have a working Smart Phone
• Pass a Criminal Background check (at hire & annually)
• No violent charges, substance abuse or sexually abuse (at hire & annually)
• Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle report (annual check required)
• 3-year history of no more than 3 moving violations or at fault accidents; no or
• No DUI/DWI ever
• Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
• Must maintain excellent safety record, customer service, and attendance
• Must be able to exit vehicle to escort and assist passengers onto the vehicle
• Must pass CPR certification and driver safety training
• Must have reliable transportation to work

Qualifications

• Driver's License with Taxi/Driver (Z) Endorsement: (Preferred)
• Must be able to operate passenger vehicles of 15 or under Passengers: 2 Years Experience (Preferred)
• Computer skills / Computer literacy
• Must have working knowledge of smart phone with ability to use apps and GPS safely
• High school diploma or GED
