Job description
Adheres to cash handling policies and procedures including proper operation of POS terminals/cash registers, collects proper money from guests and gives accurate change, processes credit card transactions accordingly, and responsible for balancing register at the end of shift.
Responsible for accurately taking orders and assisting guests in a fast-paced environment.
Assists with food preparation, following proper food handling and storage as required by health regulatory agencies.
Maintains a clean and orderly food service environment both during operation and at the end of the shift, following sanitation procedures required by health regulatory agencies, focusing on both public areas and back of house.
Assists with proper rotation of food items on display, always ensuring the display is visually pleasing and high-quality products are served.
Assists with inventories both during and following events, product rotation and date labeling to ensure fresh products are readily available for preparation.
Employees who meet legal age requirements may sell beer, which requires adhering to proper procedures as required by law, including, but not limited to, verifying ID for age verification of legal drinking age before serving, and prevention of alcohol consumption by guests who are intoxicated.
Employees with an ABC card may serve as a bartender, adhering to proper procedures including in ABC training, not limited to, but including those listed above for beer service.
Responsible for trash pick up of the auditorium between and after shows as required by the event.
Provides the management team guest feedback on both service and products.
Provides information to guests about Opry Entertainment properties, the Nashville area and the current or upcoming events.
Provides world class service and hospitality utilizing the Opry Entertainment Group Service Basic tools.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
Minimum 6 months customer service experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong communication skills, demonstrated team player, self starter
Licenses / Certifications
State of Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission server permit preferred
