JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Survey Research Center at The Pennsylvania State University is currently looking for self-motivated, reliable part-time Field Interviewers to collect bio-samples and administer surveys to parents and children in their homes in the Harrisburg, Hershey, and surrounding areas. There are also opportunities for travel to other states to do data collection. We are very interested in candidates that can travel to other states as needed (all expenses paid).
Applicants must be phlebotomists, available to work between 5-35 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. The successful applicants to this part-time position will gain valuable experience in the collection of social science data and survey administration. Excellent people skills, attention to detail, a flexible schedule, reliable transportation, and proximity to Harrisburg or Hershey are required for consideration.
Successful candidates will be expected to:

• follow a specific protocol
• be available to attend mandatory training
• have basic experience with computer and Internet technology
• be capable of establishing and maintaining a good rapport with study respondents
• organized, and detail-oriented
• keep detailed records of all work activities

This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances:

• PA State Police Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
• FBI Criminal Background Check

This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties.
