We are currently searching for a Part Time Clinical Assistant at our OrthoCarolina Gastonia OUC location.
This position will work 8-12 hours per week, 3-4 hour shifts.
Possible 2-3 shifts on weekdays (5:15pm - 9:15pm) and weekend rotation 1 weekend on Saturday & Sunday (9:45am - 2:15pm) and 1 weekend off.

The Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing and coordinating orthopedic patient care which includes performing routine office procedures and testing, participating in patient teaching, communicating effectively with others, and assisting the physician/mid-level provider in the delivery of patient care.
Additional responsibilities as a Clinical Assistant include:
- Updating clinical notes in electronic medical systems
- Completing phone triage
- Casting and bracing
- Performing routine office procedures
- Providing patient education

Clinical Assistants includes these certified clinicians:
- If CMA or RMA, individual must be registered or certified through one of the following national organizations:
- -American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA),
- -National HealthCareer Association (NHA),
- -American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
- -American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- If EMT, individual must possess Emergency Medical Technician certification
- If ATC, individual must be board certified as Athletic Trainer
