Parking Attendant Job Description

Car park attendants perform various functions in ensuring smooth operation, security, and maintenance of parking facilities.

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain operation at parking garage and ensure customers get high quality service and satisfaction
• Count vehicles and ensure that appropriate number of cars is kept on location throughout shift, as needed
• Respond, identify and resolve possible conflict where it arises
• Carry out regular patrol of parking area and issue notices of payment to customers for non-compliance to parking garage policies
• Be entrusted with cash and credit payments and be required to account for all vehicles and their payments for the day
• Patrol parking levels on foot or in customized motor carts, if applicable
• Carry out regular cleaning of parking garage to ensure it is tidy and organized always
• Ensure daily reports are produced showing irregular occurrences, such as damage to property
• Ensure a safe, hazard free, and clean parking environment
• Responsible for being at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform

Requirements – Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

• Strong communication skills and excellent customer service skills
• Highly energetic, confident, reliable, punctual, and professional individual
• Ability to give attention to detail and perform tasks accurately
• Experience working before as a parking, patrol, or enforcement officer is helpful, but not necessary
• Must successfully pass background screening
• Must love the beach!
