JOB SUMMARY: Oversee the daily operation of the Park Services Department. The Supervisor will ensure the cleanliness of Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor Chicago (including streets, restrooms, patios, buildings, wash down and trash removal.)


SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Provide direct supervision to line employees through daily audits and inspections.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained through daily meetings with Seasonal Management Team.
  • Ensure that all back areas, restrooms, patio areas, flowerbeds and picnic events are maintained throughout the year.
  • Monitor employee performance and compliance with company standards through daily audits.
  • Oversee the operation of all outside service providers to ensure completeness of work and adherence to all contractual obligations.
  • Ensure all Park Service employees receive proper training, certification and feedback to perform their job at the highest level.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Corporate and Park Standards & Policies.
  • Clean and maintain all Park Services equipment.
  • Oversee all wash down and work crew activities.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels for Park Services and all other departments.
  • Maintain department budget and participate in monthly forecast and annual budget process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED IN IDEAL CANDIDATE:


  • Two (2) years Operations Supervisory experience or Operations background a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, while paying close attention to details and not losing sight of deadlines and objectives. Must be able to execute projects quickly.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and be willing to be trained on all Park Services vehicles and equipment.
  • Demonstration of leadership ability. Must be able to select and manage a diverse team and develop a seasonal leadership group.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work a variety of hours or shifts, including weekends, Holidays, and evenings
  • Willingness to cross train for other operational departments and assist same during specific short-staffing periods.
  • Must be able to traverse the park property, and able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Able to work in all types of weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
  • High School diploma required.
  • Must possess above average computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Be a proven team player.

  • Requires continuous sitting or standing, lifting, bending, walking, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech. Requires frequent kneeling, manual dexterity, and gross motor skills
