About the role: We are seeking a Packing Supervisor to work on the floor and be available to direct and assist the packing team in managing the day to day functions of Packing, and in assuring on-time order fulfillment with quality product.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the team to manage and control a daily schedule of personnel to meet Packing/Shipping needs.
- Manage and maintain CAS Pack Control Database and all CAS functions
- Monitor CAS to ensure all work orders are maintained and current.
- Direct the daily operation to ensure that productivity is maintained, and product is packed on time with regard to truck departure schedules; maximize the efficiency of the packing lines.
- Resolve issues team members raise; provide feedback to aid in skill development and confidence; coach team members and take corrective action as needed.
- Create and/or maintain shrink controls to include daily overfill studies, dumped product tracking, rework tracking, and cooler shrink testing; control packaging materials usage, including weekly/daily inventory, usages and calculation of on-hand inventory needs; communicate issues related to quality of materials.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in preparation for inspections, tours and visitors and assure that all necessary preparations are carried out.
- Operate a pallet jack and/or forklift as needed
- Perform any special projects as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for supervising both hourly and exempt salaried employees.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Required:
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience
- Experience as a supervisor in food and beverage or packing or warehouse environments
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Regular work site attendance is essential
Desired:
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly desired
- Associate degree or higher preferred
