The Medical Director is responsible for the efficient and effective medical services provided to patients according to the Policies & Procedures. Conducts patient's medical history and physical examinations. Medical monitoring of patients in all phases of treatment as required.Interested in being part of the solution to an ever growing Opioid epidemic across the United States?

Crossroads Treatment Centers is a leading provider of Medication-Assisted Treatment services. Our treatment and recovery process for all patients include Assessments, individualized treatment planning, counseling, physician-directed medical care, treatment medication and coordination with other community resources.

We're seeking a Part-time Medical Director to join our office-based opioid treatment facility in the Ashland, KY. area. The ideal candidate would have the knowledge and skills to provide prevention, screening, intervention and treatment related to substance use disorders.

We offer flexible schedules and very competitive pay. Providers are eligible for up to $400 per year in approved training reimbursement related to their role. Crossroads also covers medical malpractice insurance for all providers.

Essential Duties:

  • Participating in Weekly Treatment Team to review cases, phase increases and staff difficult casesĀ·
  • Model appropriate physical and emotional boundaries with clients and co-workers
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments as indicated by patient assessment.
  • Coordinate care with ancillary healthcare providers and making referrals when appropriate
  • Keep updated on current drug abuse and treatment information
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a treatment plan
  • Monitor patients continuously and maintains a safe, protective environment for the patients.
  • Complete medical documentation according to Crossroads standards.
  • Document any incidents or unusual occurrences per policy and procedure
  • Actively execute coordination of care for patients.

Education and/or Experience:

  • The Medical Director must meet state-defined minimum licensure, education, and experience requirements.
  • Addiction Medicine certification or eligibility preferred
  • Active Kentucky Medical license and DEA certification
