Job description

Pella Windows & Doors is now looking for an independent, positive, outgoing Trade Sales Representative.

The primary responsibility for this position is driving business growth through establishing and supporting key contractor and builder relationships. Balancing project and quote management with dedicated time to prospect and establish new relationships is critical to success in this role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for meeting individual sales targets as established in agreement with the Trade Sales Manager
  • Possess expert knowledge of Pella Windows and Doors, associated design requirements and specifications, and proper install techniques for doors and windows
  • Demonstrate an ability to develop customer and market insights as they relate to the Pella sales process
  • Complete site measurements and review and interpret design documents and plan sets
  • Build and maintain contractor relationships toward long-term sales growth
  • Develop and follow a weekly strategic approach to cover the assigned territory, including key account visits
  • Work within Salesforce.com to manage all customer info, project tracking, and record weekly activity
  • Target and visit dormant accounts to identify opportunity for new business growth
  • Prospect for new accounts across the assigned territory
  • Accurately develop project quotes using Pella’s quoting software in partnership with the inside quoting team
  • Delegate administrative tasks to your assigned coordinator
  • Effectively manage delivery dates based on established customer needs
  • Hand-deliver all quotes over $10,000 for in-person presentation
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns in partnership with sales management or associated internal departments
  • Work within established safety practices

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work alone or in a team setting with a self-starter mindset
  • Core selling and prospecting skills
  • Excellent and professional customer relations skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
  • Above average math skills
  • Commitment to honesty, integrity, and ethical business practices
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to climb ladder and take measurements
  • Valid driver's license

SALARY:

  • First year - $65K - $70K
  • Second year - $75K - $80K
  • Third year - $80K+

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
