This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in environmental justice, social entrepreneurship, and the clean energy industry to help launch and expand data management for GRID’s Outreach organization. The Outreach Data Analyst will report to the Outreach Operations Director and work closely with Regional Outreach leadership, HQ Operations, and other HQ Outreach staff.
The Opportunity…
The HQ Outreach Team at GRID Alternatives is seeking an Outreach Data Analyst who will identify key projects within Outreach that generate meaningful data-driven insights, improve data integrity, and enable effective and equitable decision making. Additionally, this role will be responsible for leading key process improvement initiatives and provide data driven insight and program recommendations with a goal for improving effectiveness in partnership and with input from other HQ Outreach staff. As the principal driver of their initiatives, this person will work across departments to drive change management by understanding, communicating, and managing changes associated with system enhancements, implementations and process improvements.
  • Create data-driven analysis and reports for Outreach leadership to support decision making in regards to program operations
  • Identify and track key conversion metrics across program areas to support regional outreach effectiveness
  • Build capacity management system to better track Outreach staff’s ability to take on emerging project needs
  • Manage new leads uploads for all of Outreach
  • Provide ad-hoc business analysis and reporting of key program metrics
  • Develop, oversee, organize, store, and analyze data and data systems
  • Act as a data steward by maintaining data integrity requirements and identify opportunities to improve data integrity
  • Work closely with HQ Operations team, including Data Manager, to align efforts and build shared systems
What you need to bring to this role
  • Proven experience managing data
  • Proficient at digesting, understanding, and analyzing large amounts of data
  • Attention to detailed statistical information
  • Experience with modern databases, IT systems, and related technology tools (Salesforce, SQL, Python, etc.)
  • Proficient with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
  • Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
  • Confident in making good decisions with given information
  • Ability to think systemically for patterns across a wide variety of different program areas
  • Proven experience facilitating and uplifting racially and ethnically diverse teams
  • Share ideas in a positive manner and address problems constructively
  • Listen to and objectively consider ideas and suggestions from others
  • Respect the diversity of our work force in actions, words, and deeds
  • Leadership experience with good interpersonal and team skills
  • Hired CA candidates must be able to pass a screening for drugs that are illegal in the state of California, including: amphetamine, cocaine metabolite, opiates, and PCP.

Where you will sit & the places you may go…
This will be a fully REMOTE position working out of GRID HQ in Oakland, CA. This position may rarely require out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects such as company-wide celebrations, team building exercises, etc. Availability to work nights and weekends may very rarely be required.
GRID Alternatives provides vehicles for work travel, and due to COVID-19 current guidelines, we may also require limited personal vehicle use. In the latter instance, GRID will provide travel reimbursement for work-related personal vehicle use in accordance with our payroll schedule. Additionally, all applicants who will be using a personal or work vehicle for work-related travel will need a valid driver's license and a good driving record to be considered.

This is a full-time, exempt position. Salary commensurate with experience within the pay band of $75,000 - $85,000 plus the benefits listed below. *All Remote & Remote/Location Flexible Positions MUST reside within the U.S., and require proof of residency.
