Must pass DEA Clearance. Must pass Pharmacy Technician training entrance exam.
License, Certification, Registration
CA Registered Pharmacy Technician
Registered by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Additional Requirements:
Typing 30 wpm. All testing must be completed by the end of the posting period.
Requires standing for long periods of time and lifting 1 50 lbs. and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
Ability to read, understand, and transcribe pharmaceutical information.
Working knowledge of current drug forms, dosage strengths, and generic and trade names equivalents.
Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding the provision of pharmaceutical services.
Ability to learn and operate pharmacy computer system and other equipment.
Ability to type prescription labels.
