What you will do:
  • Collaborate with Nominations Planning, Shipper Services, Control Center Operations (CCO), and appropriate upstream and downstream Outage Coordinators in other Regions to align and coordinate projects to efficient plan common line outages to minimize rate loss and increase efficiency and revenue streams.
  • Responsible for communication and scheduling assistance of maintenance work/project priorities to impacted Regional Groups/Projects.
  • Construction Maintenance Coordination Committee (CMCC) Regional representative.
  • Develop and communicate outage schedule calendar and regular outage updates to Region and impacted partners.
  • Facilitate the sharing of labor resources across the region to improve the work performed and minimize required equipment downtime.
  • Act as the Region point of contact for maintenance opportunities on short notice. Engage Region/Project personnel, gather input, submit Capacity Outage Planning Approval System (COPAS) requests as needed and provide feedback on behalf of the Region.
  • Oversee and aid in training on the COPAS process for the Region.
  • Assist Regional partners to ensure outage plans are timely submitted to the CCO Engineers for safe work approval. Follow-up with CCO Engineers on status of COPAS requests.
  • Responsible for coordination of work during outages at multiple sites within the Region and lead Region CMCC investigations for outages that deviated beyond acceptable limits from the plan
  • SME liaison between Regional Operations, Project Personnel, CCO, Scheduling, and Nominations Groups for outage scheduling in the Region.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as the need arises and document performance results.
  • Leads analysis of Lessons Learned from completed outages to drive improvements to outage planning processes and documentation within the Work execution Management Standard
  • Leads meetings with other outage coordinators and stakeholders to drive consistency in the OC within all LP regions and ensure effective coordination across region boundaries
Who you are:
You have the following education and/or experience:
  • Associates/Technical degree accompanied by 7 plus years’ experience in related engineering or technical role. Equivalent mix of formal education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong project management, interpersonal, scheduling, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills as well as good computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel Programs).
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited technical or engineering program preferred.
  • Pipeline project work experience and knowledge in oil/gas pipeline operations preferred.
  • Experience using computerized maintenance management system (Maximo) preferred
Working Conditions:
Office setting (80%) and filed setting (20%)
Occasionally required to work long hours on short notice
In-frequent travels throughout Region
Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
