Job description
The Organizational Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for training and professional development program logistics for managers, staff, faculty, and front-line supervisors. This is an entry level position.
Duties and tasks:
- This position supports orientation and onboarding coordination, the College’s Learning Management System, COVLC, as well as collaborates with various departments/divisions to provide learning support.
- This role is responsible for processing tuition assistance requests, answering general learning and development questions, and supporting HR training initiatives, such as mandatory training.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Knowledge of event coordination and learning program support.
- High attention to detail and document review and management.
- Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality.
- Knowledge of group/team facilitation.
- Good presentation and public speaking abilities.
- Strong verbal, listening, written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Some years of experience in an office environment.
- College level degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development and Leadership, Learning and Education, or related area or a combination of education, training, and experience.
