Organic Extraction Tech
6-month contract to hire
Location: Blue Ash, OH
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Pay Rate: $18/hr.
Kelly Science & Clinical is recruiting for an Organic Extraction Tech in Blue Ash, OH for a 6-month contract to hire position. This role will support a broad range of testing and analytical services to a wide variety of end markets and industries around the globe. You will be part of a team that provides a diversified line of independent analytical services to a wide range of top-tier customers in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, environmental, and food industries. The diverse laboratories perform routine and specialty analytical testing for compliance, safety, certification, and verification purposes.

The Organic Extraction Technician will be responsible for preparation of environmental samples for analysis. Organic extractions and concentration of soil and water samples will be required. Perform required duties according to published methodologies and established laboratory procedures.

Job Summary

Essential Function
- Perform all duties associated with the preparation of samples for
organic analysis - Maintain complete documentation of all preparatory procedures according to established requirements
- Perform work within established quality control parameters and within specified
turnaround time - Perform gravimetric determinations
- Assist with preparation of analytical standards, reagents, and solutions
- Maintain safe working conditions and a clean, orderly work area
- Follow SOP's and methodologies without deviation
- Exercise laboratory safety practices
- Produce quality data
- Strong commitment to quality and integrity
- May be asked to assist with glassware cleaning and sample disposal tasks
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma
- Working knowledge of computer software is required
- Organic extraction laboratory experience is a plus
- Must be available for possible travel to additional labs in other areas
- Ability to stand for intervals of up to 8 hours while working
- Diligent work ethic and the ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details
- High energy level, confidence, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
