SeKON is looking for an Oracle Federal Financials Expert for an ongoing R12 upgrade supporting the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This position can be 100% remote, but it would be nice candidates are available for occasional travel to the Washington, DC Metro area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Resource planning of the O&M team and the special projects team
  • Mentoring junior members
  • Coordinating deployments/projects across testing, change management, and development teams
  • Coordinating interaction between Infrastructure team and OMCS team
  • Helping architect new projects and ensuring they will integrate into the existing environment
  • Coordinating the hand-off between special projects and the O&M team after projects are implemented
  • Coordinating with external systems on cloning schedules, environments, and deployments.
  • Status updates in various weekly or monthly meetings
  • Ensuring different teams are communicating with each other. Unfortunately, Infrastructure tends to be in the middle of a lot of the activity and so is in their best interest to make sure teams communicate to avoid last-minute changes to deployments or maintenance activities.
  • Code/configuration Deployments (Functional and Technical)
  • Special Project implementations (DB upgrades, implementing new software such as Splunk, Drupal, application upgrades)
  • Remediating security vulnerabilities identified by the security team
  • Root cause analysis for issues
  • 24/7 support for the environment
  • Maintaining cloning and maintenance calendars
  • Maintaining outage calendars
  • Troubleshooting Hyperion, EBS, UiPath, OBIEE, PPM (Formerly Kintana) for deployments, AppWorx job scheduler, SOA, Single-Sign-On using webgate, Oracle SuperCluster, Oracle GRC, ConfigSnapshot

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline is required. A Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology is preferred
  • Technical experience in Oracle E-Business Suite including Oracle Federal Financials
  • Must have recent experience with Oracle Federal Financials upgrades and a deep understanding of the toolset
  • Experience working within deadlines while ensuring that complex information is conveyed in a clear, accurate, and concise manner under normal and critical situations
  • The background should be hands-on DBA preferably with performance tuning experience.
  • Experience managing both O&M and Project teams. The existing team is 9 O&M resources plus 1-3 special project resources.
  • Must be able to handle multi-tasking multiple projects/issues and should detail-orientated
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where things change sometimes on a daily or hourly basis.
