We currently are hiring for the following OR Supervisor:

• OR Supervisor Evenings

I.         PRIMARY FUNCTION/GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The primary responsibility of this position is the facilitation of the daily surgical schedule. Shift supervisors are available Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-3 p.m., 3-11 p.m. and 11 p.m.-7 a.m. and also weekends, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. – 7 p.m.-7 a.m. Provides optimal services for patients and physicians in conjunction with Shift Supervisors and Specialty Coordinators. Is liaison and representative for Administrative Director. This position services the following populations: neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

II.       EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:

           1.        Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

           2.        Current licensure as Registered nurse in the state of Virginia or awaiting reciprocity.

           3.        Knowledge of the operation of a surgical suite and the current nursing care processes and skills utilized in providing patient care.

           4.        Three to five years as a professional operating room nurse, including at least one year of management experience.

           5.        Current CPR certification.
