Job description
We are a large medical eyecare optometry practice with over 30 years in our community offering full-scope optometry to our coastal town. Some specialties we currently offer include glaucoma, macular degeneration, specialty contact lens (including Orthokeratology), dry eye, and urgent care. Our clinic is fully equipped with new and advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies including wide-field fundus photography, latest and fasted SD-OCT w/ angiography, anterior segment cameras, Lipiflow, enhanced topographers, and fully automated Reichert phoropters, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough routine and medical eye exams.
- Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness and color blindness.
- Identify and assess eye defects and diseases.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and medications.
- Promote eye health by teaching patients about proper eye care techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical files for all patients including diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Doctor of Optometry degree
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders and conditions.
