THE POSITION

We are looking for an optometric technician to work Monday - Friday from 8:30a-5:00p. While experience in optometry or ophthalmology is ideal and comfort with technology is preferred, we are open to training the right candidate.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Schedule patients

Prelim testing

• Visual acuities, autorefractor, retinal imaging, IOC pressures, visual fields, med history
• Insurance verification
• Contact lens training, ordering & stocking

Answer phones

Accurately document exam details into electronic system

Monitor patient flow and properly communicate with patients

Assist in optical as needed

Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent

Reliable transportation, punctual and dependable

Friendly and upbeat with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Thrives in a busy environment

Strong multi-tasking and time management skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to do basic math

Team player with good interpersonal and listening skills

Passion for self-improvement and continuing education

Must be flexible to accommodate schedule change(s) on short notice to fulfill business needs

Previous experience as an optometric technician is preferred, but not required

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
