We are are looking for opticians to join our multi-doctor, three location growing practice. The position is full time (4 weekdays plus short Saturdays) or part-time. One year of optical experience is required. You must be a team player and have a POSITIVE attitude. At our office, we are like a family with a positive culture.

Job duties for opticians at Broad View Eye Center:

• Assisting patients with eye wear selection
• Educating patients on Essilor lens designs and lens options (AR treatments, materials, progressive designs, digital power boost lenses).
• Collecting payment, ordering and submitting the claim for glasses and contacts to insurance.
• Adjustment and repair of glasses
• Dispensing of new glasses
• Problems solving when patients are having difficulties with new glasses
• Selling annual supplies of contacts

Job duties for receptionists at Broad View Eye Center:

• Answer phones, collect patient information and schedule appointments
• Check in patients and check out patients, including collecting copays
• Retrieve insurance authorizations
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Make referral appointments for patients
• Order contact lenses for patients

Required skills include:

• Using a lensometer
• Understanding how to interpret insurance benefits, including materials for glasses and contacts
• Taking basic lens measurements (PD, seg. Height, etc.)
• Frame repair and adjustment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
