Full-time Optician wanted for a busy, multi-specialty Ophthalmology practice. Optical experience helpful but will train right candidate. Must be a motivated, self-starter with good communication and computer skills. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. No evenings or weekends. Benefits include health insurance, 401k pension and profit sharing, PTO, paid holidays and more, must be able to multi-task and have the ability to excel under pressure. Must be a team player and work well with others

Optician responsibilities include:

• Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts

• Operate lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients.

• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences

• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames

• Manage inventory

Since 1969, the Eye Care Center of Northern Colorado has been a part of the Longmont community, serving the eye care and cosmetic needs of people in the area. With fellowship trained and board certified MD's, the Eye Care Center offers a range of service that include comprehensive eye exams, and specialties in vitreo-retinal surgery, cornea and external diseases of the eye, cataracts, glaucoma, oculoplastics, laser vision correction, and cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Additionally, there is an on-site optical center and surgical center to meet the needs of any patient. The Eye Care Center takes pride in providing a family-like work environment.
For the convenience of our patients, the Eye Care Center offers satellite offices in Boulder, Lafayette and Greeley.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
