Established optometry practice in Alpharetta is seeking an experienced optician. The ideal candidate will have strong selling skills. Duties include verifying and inspecting orders, assisting patients with frame selections, edging lenses, adjusting frames and repairs.

Additional duties include answering phones and assisting with check-in and check-out. We specialize in patient education, helping our clients get the most out of their insurance plans. This job involves constant customer interaction in person and over the phone, so a sociable personality is a must.

-Accurately collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, and seg heights, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and pantoscopic tilt

-Able to operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer

-Ability to identify and resolve patient complaints through trouble shooting

-Team player who can communicate with patients and fellow employees

-Experience with frame board management and inventory control

-Check in all incoming orders to ensure quality and accuracy

-Dispense patient orders and repair and adjust patient frames

-Understanding of optics and lens design

-Frame knowledge and ability to style, fit and take measurements accurately

-Enjoy working with patients and collaborating on ways to deliver outstanding patient care and service

-Takes pride and ownership in the success of the practice

-General office duties and cleaning to be assigned by manager

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Optical experience: 1 year (Required)
• Sales: 1 year (Required)
• Dispensing Optician: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Dispensing Optician Licence (LDO) (Preferred)
